INTRODUCTION

The Indian Business & Professional Network, Doha/Qatar is a professional organisation of Senior Indian expatriates formally launched by H.E.Shri. R. L. Narayan, Ambassador of India to Qatar on the 16th February 1999 at the premises of the Embassy of India under the aegis of the Embassy of India, Doha/Qatar.

The Indian Business & Professional Network (IBPN) aims to provide a forum for the promotion of trade and commerce and the formation of manufacturing and trading joint ventures between India and Qatar in addition to promoting investment in either country on a bilateral basis.

The IBPN acts as an informal interface in introducing Indian Companies to the vast opportunities that exist in the industrial scenario in Qatar and aids them in projecting their expertise and strengths in various disciplines for prospective alliances with business and trade organisations operating in Qatar.

It also aims to provide a reciprocal service for business and trade organisations established in Qatar to explore opportunities in India.



MISSION STATEMENT

To promote trade and commerce and formation of manufacturing and trading joint ventures between India and Qatar and promoting investment in either country on a bilateral basis.


MANIFESTO

* To identify the different Indian products which could find a good market in Qatar.
*
To identify sectors in which Indian companies could participate with their Qatari counterparts in joint ventures, partnership, etc.
* To plan strategies for promoting Indian goods and companies of repute in Qatar.
* To advise the Indian Trade Promotion Bodies, Chambers of Commerce and Industry and other relevant organisation on matters related to economy and trade.
* To provide logistic and advisory support during the visit of the Indian delegations to Qatar and vice versa.
* To guide companies in Qatar in resolving issues pertaining to non conformity of products or services from Indian sources
* To assimilate, maintain and upgrade a database of manufacturers / vendors in India desirous of exporting their products & services.
* To provide information on Export / Import enquiries from India / Qatar to promote trade and co-operation.
* To arrange regular meetings, luncheons & seminars involving members of the Qatari business community to facilitate greater co-operation on business, trade and industry related issues.
* In general act as a focal organisation for representing the interest of the Indian business community in Qatar.
