Proceeds from the concerts will be donated to the Family Development center snd Shafalah Center for Children with Special needs.
American opera Jazz and blues performer Ms. Gwen Perry and four accompanying musicians will perform in the Doha Sheraton Hotel for the public on May 9.
The Qatar Folklore Troupe will also perform during the evening for a real cultural exchange experience ! The following evening May 10, Ms. Gwen Perry and her musicians will perform again in the Doha Sheraton Hotel for a ladies only concert which will be attended by her Highness Sheikha Moza and Ambassador McKune. These two concerts will enable the U.S. Embassy and the American community to share a bit of our culture with our friends and colleagues in Qatar at the same time that we are raising funds for two very worthy causes.
Tickets for the events will go on sale April 22. The ticket price for the public concert on May 9 is QR 100 per ticket. The price of the ticket for the ladies only concert is QR 200 per ticket.
